Mister Wilkins said the check run included annual transfers and recurring payments: an annual transfer related to the cemetery association, a $1,000,000 transfer into capital projects, a $15,000 payment to the Vernal City Innovation Hub, a semiannual airport payment of $300,000, court-share payments of $71,417 (third quarter) and $74,455 (fourth quarter), Utah Association of Counties dues of $42,264.82, a workers—compensation amount of $171,974 and a member contribution to the county liability pool of $677,042. He also noted a payment to Basin Land and Title for $615,245.
Wilkins said the large total reflects annual and semiannual payments that occur at the start of the year. He also reported there were no tax matters or claims to consider at the meeting.
