Burleson ISD reports 9 of 18 campuses cleared in TEA intruder detection audits; Centennial High passed with no findings

Burleson Independent School District staff told the board Jan. 13 that Centennial High School passed a Texas Education Agency random intruder detection audit with no findings, bringing to nine the number of BISD campuses that have cleared the TEA audits with no findings.
Steve Logan, who presented the update, said the results reflect campus-level adherence to district safety protocols. “We have had one campus audit by TEA with their random intruder detection audit. That was Centennial High School, and they passed with no findings,” Logan said. He thanked campus administrators, staff and students for following safety procedures.
District staff did not provide details about which campuses remain under review or the timeline for additional audits. The district’s intruder-detection work is part of ongoing safety and security practices; the board received the update as an informational item and no board action was required.
