Separately, the commission approved hiring a contractor to repaint interior areas of the courthouse. Staff presented multiple estimates; the lowest bid was approximately $17,200 and a full‑scope option was about $34,200. Commissioners voted to award the work to the low bidder and to pay for the project from the county’s journal fund; staff said they will coordinate with court offices to minimize disruption during painting.
