Brookfield board passes engineering, water and fee measures; reappoints beautification commissioner

The Brookfield Village Board on Monday night approved a package of resolutions and ordinances covering engineering contracts, water‑system change orders, a supplemental GIS agreement and a change in building‑permit fees.

Board members voted unanimously on a series of motions and resolutions that included agreements with Edwin Hancock Engineering and the Illinois Department of Transportation, several change orders tied to the 2024 Lehi water service and water‑main work, and a supplemental statement of work with Municipal GIS Partners. The board also approved two corporate warrants covering bills for December 23, 2024 and January 13, 2025, and reappointed Susan Groner to the Beautification Commission.

The board approved four measures related to the village’s water projects: three change‑order resolutions for phases of the 2024 Lehi water service replacement program and one change order for the 2024 Water Main Improvements project. Trustees were told the village has received IEPA authorization for additional funding that will cover the extra lead service replacements encountered in the field. All water‑project change orders were approved by roll call.
