Board renews Tarleton State dual‑credit MOU and asks staff to clarify student fees

“Board, tonight we're coming to seek renewal of an existing MOU. We already have this MOU with Tarleton State University to provide dual credit courses,” Mr. Caulden said.
Board members asked whether the district pays dual‑credit fees for CTE students or whether fees are charged to families. Mr. Caulden replied, “I don't honestly have that answer for you tonight. I'll have to do some research and get back to you on that.” He later said his understanding was that Global High School historically had district‑covered costs for dual credit while Waxahachie High School students typically paid a reduced rate, but he could not confirm that with 100% certainty and agreed to follow up.
Mrs. Kriegel moved to approve the MOU renewal and Mr. McCutcheon seconded. The motion carried 6–0.
The board asked staff to report back with clarification on fee responsibility and any changes that would affect student access or cost.
