"We are participating in a large grant to extend safety improvements to 42 and West Avenue in Perry Pike, excelling a crosswalk extension to the sidewalk, as well as pedestrian improvements, striping, curb ramps, signal heads," a staff presenter said.
Council also reviewed a standard consent ordinance that lets the Ohio Department of Transportation place and maintain standard pavement markings and signs, and allows ODOT to remove snow and ice on state highways inside village corporate limits. Staff said these consents are routine for municipalities with state highways within corporate limits and do not signal immediate new projects.
Both items were introduced as first readings (including Resolution 1-2025 authorizing participation in the ODOT project); no final votes were taken at the meeting.
