The committee received an update on the municipal harbor plan process and agreed the plan will be forwarded to the state for review before final select board action.

Phil (committee speaker) reported the Harbor Plan Committee voted to send the plan to the state for a legal or technical review and then forward it to the select board. The plan will be subject to any editorial or technical corrections requested by the state.

Committee members said the plan's implementation will likely proceed as a staged effort. One committee member recommended the implementation body identify about 20 priority actions that can be addressed promptly and document items that cannot be completed. "When we forward it to the select board, we are going to list what we think probably 20 things that need to be addressed immediately," the member said.

The committee expects the select board to consider the plan and appointments for an implementation committee in the spring. Staff and committee members will continue refining the plan and identifying which items require town action, state approval or further study.
