On Jan. 13 the Verona Common Council approved three planning items forwarded by the planning commission: a condominium plat for 31 units at 644 Liberty Drive, a certified survey map to adjust two lots at 1079 American Way (Verona Technology Park), and the City of Verona comprehensive plan public participation plan.
Condominium plat: The planning commission had recommended approval; staff and the applicant clarified a clerical correction after the agenda update. The council approved resolution R-25-001 to create a 31-unit condominium at 644 Liberty Drive.
Certified survey map: The council approved resolution R-25-002 to shift existing lot lines in the Verona Technology Park; staff confirmed the action is a reconfiguration of two existing lots rather than new-lot creation.
Public participation plan: The council adopted resolution R-25-003, approving a public participation plan that lists outreach channels (utility bill inserts, library and coffee-shop pop-ups, QR-code surveys and a subscription/alert option on the city website) and recommends tracking engagement effectiveness. The plan commission had voted 7–0 to recommend adoption.
Ending: Staff will proceed to record the condominium plat and certified survey map and begin the public outreach described in the public participation plan.
