The Franklin County Board of Education recorded several procedural and fiscal votes at its Jan. 13 meeting.
- The board approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Mr. Williams; the motion carried after an aye vote.
- The board approved the consent agenda, which included field-trip approvals (North Middle School, band and sports trips, Heartland conference in Pigeon Forge and Franklin County High School FFA state convention in Gatlinburg) and the minutes from Dec. 10. - The board approved December'January and January'February budget amendments (GPD budget amendments). A motion to approve the GPD budget amendments was made by Mr. Williams and seconded by Miss Lequita; members voted aye and the motions carried.
- The board moved to approve a set of policy updates with exceptions: policies 2.404 and 2.6 were held for further review and will be returned next month. A motion was made to approve the remaining policies and to hold 2.404 and 2.6; the motion carried.
