Aldermen table decision on nuisance property at 8515 West Sandage Road until Feb. 4

Staff member Mister Gambon displayed before-and-after photos and told the board that a property at 8205 Highway 178 had been cleaned, while the Patrick property at 8515 West Sandage Road had seen removal of a shed and a junk pickup truck but still required finishing work.
"You really have several options," Gambon said, describing choices including ordering staff or contract labor to clean the property forthwith, finding cleanup sufficient, or tabling the item. Staff recommended tabling because progress had been made and only limited work remained. Alderman Collins moved to table; Alderman Aldridge seconded. After a voice vote of "aye," the motion carried.
Alderman Wallace recused himself from the item and left the room before discussion. The board did not direct an immediate abatement order; tabling preserves the option to revisit a formal cleanup order if the remaining work is not completed by the Feb. 4 meeting.
