Residents praise overtime reductions and ask about parking committee and committee openings

He asked whether summer labor and beach-season revenues covered summer programs; staff said they would verify and report back. City Manager Dan Creighton said he would confirm overtime and revenue figures the next day.
Linda Giles asked about the parking committee and a posted architectural-review advisory committee. Staff said the parking committee helped shape an RFP for a parking consultant, that the city is now issuing an RFP and will have the committee review consultant proposals when they arrive. Staff explained the architectural-review board typically requires professional qualifications (architects) for its seats and that the new planning board (pending legislation) will be filled by a mix of applicants, with some chosen for relevant experience and others as fresh faces; applications for the planning board were already being received.
No formal council action was taken on these public comments; staff committed to follow up on several information requests.
