Lee's Summit staff say LSCDC will resume billing after two-year pause; city restored prior funding

"We have not participated with the LSCDC for the last 2 years financially. They have not billed anybody for the last 2 years either," Dr. Buck, a district staff member, said. He told the committee that the city council had reinstated funding and was now a larger contributor than before.
Dr. Buck said the district's requested contribution would be "the same funding we've had for well over a decade," and that the city's restored support (the city "has now passed it, unanimously") was a major reason organizations resumed funding and billing.
Staff did not record a formal vote on a funding payment in this meeting; they presented the information as part of ongoing budget and partnership discussions and offered to answer questions.
