Council approves rezoning for property on Lynwood Drive to restore residential use

Planning staff (Miss Harden) said the property is under an acre, vacant at present, and was formerly residential before the 2016 zoning map change. The Planning Commission held a public hearing in December with no public comments and recommended approval; staff supported the recommendation. Council members discussed local fit and district representation; the council approved the rezoning (Ordinance 2025‑1947) unanimously, and staff asked to place the item on a future consent agenda for ministerial processing.
The rezoning is limited to this single property and the council recorded no public opposition at the hearing.
