Council approves minutes, CIP reallocations, dispatch server upgrade and airport pavement change order

The Murfreesboro City Council approved several routine and project-specific items during its Jan. 9 workshop at the municipal airport, including minutes from a prior meeting, a set of CIP reallocations, a CAD-host dispatch server upgrade and a final change order for airport pavement rehabilitation.
The council unanimously approved reallocation of excess proceeds from several completed projects to active CIP projects for parks, police, Town Creek and the airport, and was told there is no overall impact to the CIP balance. Council also authorized replacement hosting hardware and associated networking, storage and licensing for the city’s computer-aided dispatch system at an approximate cost of $370,000, to be funded through the reallocated CIP funds.
Council approved a final change order for Taxiway A and apron pavement rehabilitation that reduced the original contract amount, producing a return of funds to the project budget. All four actions were adopted by roll-call vote with all members present voting aye.
