Officials said they expect to break ground May–June 2025, which staff said will allow the district to start work before full collection of 2025 levy receipts and "save a lot of money." The district described the $60 million‑scale project as progressing with "very limited barriers" at this preconstruction phase.
Board members were told the district is completing construction documents and will move to final contract execution in early spring. No formal board action was required at the update; staff said they will return with contract documents and continuing cost verification steps as the work proceeds.
