The Village of Indian Head Park Board of Trustees approved Resolution 202-501 on Jan. 9, declaring certain property surplus so the village may sell, donate or otherwise dispose of items removed from the Heritage Center and a set of public works radios no longer in use.
At the meeting a trustee moved to declare the listed property surplus and another trustee seconded the motion. Village staff noted most items on the surplus list—musical instruments, bookshelves, chairs and desks—originated from the Heritage Center; a piano remains and is being held for donation or sale. Staff also said a set of public works radios, which were not Heritage Center property, are on the surplus list and that cancelling the radios’ account will save the village almost $2,000 per year.
The board conducted a roll call and the motion carried 4-0. No additional conditions or restrictions on disposal were stated on the record.
The resolution was administrative in nature and did not authorize demolition or other capital work; it only declared listed items as surplus and available for disposition.
