No formal appropriation vote occurred at the facilities meeting; staff urged committee members to expect a sheriff request at the Committee of the Whole and previewed a recommendation to appropriate funds for at least January and February to avoid repeated returns for short extensions.
The committee discussed sequencing and fairness in housing assignments across renovated and unrenovated sections. Staff noted that the B pod and booking-area work add scheduling complexity and likely extend the timeline for completing the full consolidation.
