Hamilton City School Board elects president, sets schedule, approves service fund and budget

Hamilton City School District Board of Education members reorganized officers and approved administrative items at their Jan. 9, 2025, organizational meeting at 533 Dayton Street.

The board elected Missus Matthews as board president and David Davidson as vice president, adopted a regular-meeting schedule required by Ohio law, approved the district’s fiscal-year 2026 tax budget and authorized several routine agreements and funds.

The reorganization matters were the most immediate business: the board approved nominations for president and vice president and appointed the treasurer to serve as presiding officer for the election. Missus Matthews was declared board president after vote; the transcript does not record a complete roll-call tally for that election. Davidson was elected vice president by roll call.
