The Senate Highways and Transportation Committee approved the use of proxy votes in committee meetings after Senator Danley Logie moved the motion and the committee adopted it by voice vote.

"Mister chair, I would like to make a motion that we approve the use of proxy votes in our committee meetings," Senator Danley Logie said. The chair called for those in favor; committee members responded "aye" and the chair announced the motion carried.

Chair Rust Temple asked members to send proxies to the vice chair when applicable and confirmed the committee's administrative packet for the session would be distributed to members.
