The board approved a resolution authorizing the superintendent to execute a cooperative endeavor agreement with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) for construction of turning lanes serving South Fork Elementary and South Fork Junior High.

Superintendent Jodi Purvis told trustees the resolution gives her authority to sign DOTD documents and that the resolution had been reviewed by the board’s legal counsel. The cooperative endeavor agreement will allow the district to work with DOTD on construction of turning lanes intended to improve traffic flow and safety at the two campuses.

The board approved the resolution by motion and voice vote and directed the superintendent to execute the agreement and proceed with DOTD coordination and required documentation.
