Community development staff reported permit and enforcement activity for December and for all of 2024 and named several new businesses on Allegheny Street.

Andy, speaking for the department of community development, said the department issued 34 permits in December, investigated 24 complaints and closed 30 cases. For all of 2024, the department issued 421 permits, investigated 209 complaints and closed 147 cases.

Andy also listed three businesses that recently opened on Allegheny Street: Neon Touch tattoo studio at 210 Allegheny Street; Mystic Palace at 214 Allegheny Street; and Next Chapter Bookshop at 404 Allegheny Street. He said REA Yoga Studio at 400 Allegheny Street is anticipated to open soon.

The staff report closed with a routine reminder to residents to clear sidewalks and not shovel snow into public roads. No regulatory changes or enforcement actions were announced during the report.
