The House voted to suspend its rules, adopted several resolutions honoring individual service, and adjourned after motions recognizing the memory of former Representative John R. Granara.
The temporary committee on rules reported resolutions that it recommended be adopted: a resolution by Representative Hogan of Stowe congratulating Lucas Benduski on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, and a resolution by Representative Karens of Danvers recognizing David P. McKenna for three decades of service to the Danvers Committee for Human Rights and Inclusion. The House suspended the rules by voice vote after a motion by Mr. Wong of Sagas, and the resolutions were adopted by voice vote.
Separately, Representatives Donato of Medford, Barber of Somerville and Garvey of Arlington moved that when the House adjourned it do so in respect to the memory of John R. Granara, who served as a member from Medford in 1977 and 1978. An order offered by Mariano Aquinzi to adjourn to meet Monday next at 11 a.m. was read by the clerk and adopted. Mr. Smola of Warren then moved that the House do now adjourn; the ayes were taken and the House stood adjourned to meet Monday next at 11 a.m.
