Blair County Commissioners approved the consent agenda at their Jan. 9 meeting. Items on the consent agenda included ratification of warrants, employment status changes and resignations, and several student placements and affiliation agreements.
County staff described one item as the district attorney's request to approve a Penn State student for the period Jan. 21, 2025 through May 23, 2025; staff said that internship is for credit only and at no cost to the county. Staff also described affiliation agreements between the county and St. Francis to permit student job-shadowing and internship experiences for the juvenile probation department; those internships were likewise described as credit only and at no cost to the county.
A commissioner recorded an abstention related to items involving Blair Senior Services, Hollidaysburg Borough and Thomas and Chandragen Dore; the minutes note an abstention was recorded for those items. The board approved the broader consent agenda by voice vote.
Other consent-agenda items cited in the meeting included routine employments, status changes and resignations (items f, g and h in the agenda listing).
