Blair County Commissioners on Jan. 9 approved the federal fiscal year 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) contract monitoring activity progress report covering July 1 through Dec. 31, 2024, social services staff said.

Social services staff explained the contracts associated with the report began in 2021 and run four years; the department conducts biannual monitoring and county fiscal years for CDBG are July 1 to June 30. "Just received a 2023 contract, so it's always a year behind," a social services representative said when commissioners questioned the 2024 reporting period.

The commissioners moved and approved the progress report by voice vote; initial meeting audio recorded a prompt of "No second" when the chair asked for a second, but the item proceeded and passed after discussion.

The county did not provide additional fiscal detail or specify the contracts reviewed in the meeting remarks.
