The Winthrop School Committee took three formal votes during its Jan. 6 meeting: it approved draft minutes, accepted a vendor warrant and approved the payroll warrant.
A motion to approve the minutes of a prior meeting was made by Miss Berry and seconded by Mr. Parentin. In the roll call that followed, the committee recorded votes as: Mister Martucci — Yes; Ms. Petrie — Yes; Miss Berry — Yes; Miss Leonard — Yes; President Lothiere — Yes; Mister Puritan — Yes; and Miss Powell — Abstain. The motion carried with one abstention.
The committee then approved warrant SBW25-12 in the amount of $210,661.16. After a motion and second, the roll-call votes were recorded as Yes from all members present (Mister Martucci; Ms. Petrie; Ms. Berry; Ms. Leonard; President Lothiere; Mister Puritan; Miss Powell) and the warrant passed.
Finally, the payroll warrant SPW25-12 in the amount of $899,671.56 was moved and seconded and approved by roll-call vote. The transcript records the roll-call votes as Yes from Mister Martucci; Ms. Petrie; Ms. Berry; Ms. Leonard; President Lothiere; Mister Puritan; and Miss Powell.
No further formal actions (appointments, contracts or ordinances) were recorded on the meeting agenda.
