The City Council of the City of Hawaiian Gardens voted Jan. 8 to approve an ordinance amending multiple sections of the municipal zoning code and to amend the zoning code map.
City staff read the ordinance title into the record as part of Consent Calendar item No. 2: “Ordinance Summer 2024-620, an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Hawaiian Gardens amending sections 18.30, 18.40, 18.50, 18.55, 18.60, 18.70, 18.90, 18.101, 18.110 of the City of Hawaiian Gardens Municipal Code and amending the zoning code map.”
A motion to approve the Consent Calendar was made and seconded; the roll-call vote recorded Council Member Farfan, Council Member Roa, Council Member Vargas and Mayor DePaola as voting yes. The mayor announced the motion carried.
The council did not discuss the ordinance on the record; no amendments or separate debate were recorded. The ordinance number and the sections amended were read into the record and are part of the meeting minutes. The council did not take any separate legislative action beyond approving the consent calendar item.
The council also reconvened from a closed session during the meeting and the City Attorney reported that no reportable action was taken in closed session on the listed labor-negotiations item.
