Development Services Director David Cool recommended the council extend the city’s professional services agreement with Albrecht and Associates, PLLC, to continue hearing-examiner services for another year.
Cool told the council the city selected Phil Albrecht after a public request for professional services and that Albrecht has served for a year. He said the extension would amend the agreement for one additional year.
No public comments were received on the item. Council member Stuckey moved to approve the amendment to extend hearing-examiner services; Mayor Pro Tem Emero seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Staff said the city solicited firms through the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) and selected Albrecht based on prior experience and qualifications. The extension keeps an external hearing examiner available to oversee quasi-judicial land-use hearings under the city’s hearing-examiner model of land-use review.
