At its meeting, the Holyoke Licensing Board approved a series of routine license actions, including a transfer of an off‑premise beer and wine license, multiple one‑day special licenses, an innholder renewal and motor vehicle late renewals.
The board approved the transfer of a beer-and-wine off‑premise alcohol license to 787 Mini Mart LLC, doing business as Stop and Go convenience store at 399 Hillside Avenue. Frank, representing the buyer, said the manager identified on the application “is a resident of Holyoke, lives very close by to the store, will be working there full time” and that the business would keep its existing layout and operations. The board voted to approve the transfer; staff said the completed packet will be submitted to the state for final review, which typically takes four to six weeks if the application is complete.
The board also approved a record change for officers and directors for Round 1 Entertainment at 50 Hollywood Street (administrative filing required when LLC/corporate officers change). Familiar Cafe at 116 High Street received multiple special one‑day licenses for event dates the applicant listed; the board read the dates into the record and approved the applications. Holyoke Community College received a late‑filed special license for wine‑tasting classes at the HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute, 164 Ray Street, with a maximum of 14 participants for each class on Feb. 4, March 11 and April 8; the board approved the filing contingent on liability coverage.
Bumblewood Suites (folio 375 Whitney Avenue) had its innholder (hotel) license renewal approved. The board approved motor vehicle late renewals for Ron’s Auto Care (150 Suffolk St.), JD Transmission (3358 Main St.), TMC (108 Suffolk St.), Richard Capital Inc. doing business as Mikey of Holyoke (1616 Northampton St.) and Wholesale Cars (52 Jackson St.).
Other routine business included approval of minutes circulated by staff and a brief update that a pending hotel transfer recently received approval from state reviewers; the board noted one remaining housekeeping item for staff to complete for older filings. Commissioners also discussed upcoming seasonal permitting and scheduling for St. Patrick’s Day parade coordination with parks and rec.
All routine license motions recorded in the packet were approved by the commissioners present.
