Area Planning Commission elects officers, makes two citizen-board appointments

Commissioners nominated and approved a slate of officers: John Hanley as president, John Collette as vice president and Norm Frodeerman as secretary. The commission then nominated John Hamley (as recorded in the transcript) to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals and Marcus Meyer to the Building Inspection Advisory Board; both appointments were moved, seconded and approved with verbal "ayes." No public opposition was recorded during those items.
The appointments and officer elections were taken as part of routine organizational housekeeping at the start of the year. The commission also accepted the director's report and previous minutes before moving on to the day's land-use items.
