Eugene launches Phase 2 of Envision Eugene; UGB study and housing goals targeted for 2026 adoption

Stuart Warren, an associate planner on the City of Eugene community planning and design team, released a recorded presentation launching Phase 2 of the Envision Eugene comprehensive plan and the Urban Growth Strategies work.
Warren said the project will produce “updates to the comprehensive plan, other adopted city plans and land use regulations, a parcel specific land use designation map, and an evaluation of whether there is a need to expand the urban growth boundary or UGB.”
Phase 2 will draft chapters on community engagement, compact development, housing, community health, public facilities and services, and land use, and is scheduled for completion in 2026 when the Eugene City Council and the Lane County Board of Commissioners will consider adoption.
