The Coconut Creek City Commission appointed five electors to a charter review board and scheduled the panels first meeting for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025.
Resolution 2025-4 names one representative from each of the citys five districts to serve for a term ending 120 days after appointment, consistent with section 907 of the city charter. Nominees presented and approved during the meeting were:
- District A: John Albaum (nominated by Commissioner Wasserman) - District B: David Minses (nominated by Vice Mayor Jackie Railey) - District C: Mohammed Razib (nominated by Mayor Welch) - District D: Alex Escorzanza (nominated by Commissioner Brody) - District E: Craig Valba (nominated by Commissioner Bridal)
The commission moved the slate and approved the appointments by roll-call vote. The mayor asked appointees present to collect their appointment letters from the city clerk. The commission noted that applicants were generally well qualified and that the review board would advise on future charter amendments and changes to be considered in the charter review process.
The first meeting was announced for Jan. 14, 2025 at 6 p.m.; staff said actual meeting logistics and follow-up materials would be provided to members.
