Bluff City appoints Eric Johnson to vacant alderman seat, swears him in

The Bluff City Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted to appoint Eric Johnson to the vacant alderman seat and administered his oath of office at the meeting.

Eric Johnson, who identified himself as living at 229 Lake View Drive and described two decades working for a Bluff City-based company, asked the board to consider him for the open alderman position during the public-comment portion. He told the board he was experienced in infrastructure and emphasized the need to map and assess underground utilities before planning repairs. "Infrastructure is not for us, this age group. It's for kids," Johnson said.
