The Walpole School Committee voted to amend its membership agreement with the regional Tech Collaborative and approved several routine administrative items at its Jan. 9 meeting.

Amendment to Tech Collaborative agreement: The committee voted to approve an amendment that admits two new districts—identified in the meeting as KP and Sharon—into the Tech Collaborative. The motion was made, seconded, and passed on a recorded voice vote with the chair announcing the result as 6–0 in favor. The committee’s representative to the collaborative is Missus Gallivan.

2025–26 school committee calendar: The committee considered the draft 2025–26 meeting calendar and approved it; members noted there is currently only one meeting scheduled in March and said they may need an additional meeting later.

Warrants and accounts-payable: The committee approved payroll warrants (numbers 2523PS–2525PS as listed in the meeting packet) and accounts-payable warrants (listed in the packet as 225-024, 225-025, 225-026 and 225-027). The motions to approve payroll and accounts-payable warrants were moved and seconded in open session and carried on voice votes.

Gifts: The committee approved donations to district schools listed in the meeting packet, including donations from Bay State Textiles, Shutterfly and others to Old Post Road, Elm Street School and Fisher Elementary; amounts were read aloud and the motion carried.

Minutes and adjournment: The committee approved the minutes of the Dec. 12, 2024 meeting and voted to adjourn the Jan. 9 meeting.
