Decatur County APC elects 2025 officers, names BCA representative

The Decatur County Area Planning Commission elected Todd Mauer president, Brad Schutte vice president and Paul Stone secretary for 2025 and appointed Paul Stone as the APC representative on the BCA board.
The slate was chosen by open nominations and approved by verbal acclamation at the start of the commission meeting. Commissioners present voiced “aye” for each office and for the BCA appointment.
Nominations opened for president, vice president and secretary. After nominations closed, the commission conducted verbal votes. Commissioners who registered a vote on the record included Brad Schutte, Ryan Penelli, Tom Cherry, Paul Stone, Thomas Hunter and Scott Smith; each registered a yes during the roll call-style readout.
Debbie, the meeting facilitator, announced the slate and turned the meeting over to Paul Stone after officers and the BCA appointment were confirmed. The commission also approved meeting minutes from September 4, November 6 and December 4 during the same session.
The APC’s appointment of Paul Stone to the BCA is a commission-level nomination; the BCA appointment will be recorded with APC minutes and transmitted per the commission’s usual procedures.
