Project staff reported progress on the Rose Parcel pipeline delivery and described next construction steps, while noting work that remains contingent on cultural resources clearances.
Brian (project staff) told the board the project has begun taking delivery of ductile iron pipe for the Rose Parcel and will start installing pipe south of South Creek, moving up Remo Road toward the pump station. He said the team has received “about 20,000 or 22-ish thousand feet” of 24-inch ductile iron pipe and expects to receive the remainder over the next couple of months; he described that quantity as an estimate.
Brian said a 60-inch culvert across the creek will be installed once a second cultural-resources field is cleared, and that wet-well excavation will begin after the final cultural clearance. He also said crews were kept off the road Monday and Tuesday to assess how the site withstood a recent “snap,” and reported crews returned to site today.
Dave (project/contract staff) told the board he is working on the CSX crossing and that the team is coordinating with DVP on their portion of the project. Justin (project staff) said he had no updates. Board member Mister Perkins asked Brian to send the pipe-installation maps to the group; Brian agreed to circulate those materials.
The meeting record shows there were no action items or consents on the project update; staff noted progress and pending clearances but the board did not take formal action on construction activities during the session.
Ending: Staff indicated continued procurement deliveries and scheduled installation steps pending cultural resource clearances; staff will circulate the pipe maps and the board will follow up as needed.
