Daviess County Council confirms 10-year tax abatement for Kratos Defense

The resolution, described to the council by Grant (staff), follows a November presentation and a Dec. 11, 2024, designation (Resolution 2024-5) that the council previously adopted. Grant told the council the abatement schedule in the confirmatory resolution would start at a 100% deduction and decrease by 10 percentage points each year over 10 years unless the council amends the schedule.

Tom moved to approve the confirmatory resolution for the Kratos project with the standard 10% reduction per year over 10 years for both real and personal property; Matt seconded. The council approved the motion by voice vote with no recorded roll call.
