Temporary special-education teacher at Freeport High The board authorized the superintendent to hire a special-education teacher at Freeport High School for the remainder of the 2024–25 school year, funded from two unfilled special-education educational-technician positions. The superintendent said four EdTech lines have remained unfilled all year and the district wants to try a teacher hire for the rest of the year; the school leadership and the director of instructional support supported the approach. Mara moved, Danielle seconded, and the motion passed with no opposition.
