Staff told the committee Corbit had submitted a higher original bid and later revised that figure downward; the revised Corbit number was read aloud during discussion. Committee members asked about sample seats: Erwin provided the sample that matched the district’s color choice and the quoted seating includes different widths to fit lower and upper sections. Staff confirmed armrest and tablet-arm locations were specified in the quote and that some chairs in the lower section will be a slightly smaller width to meet sightlines and spacing.
Committee members expressed support for proceeding and noted funds had been reserved previously for the seating project. The committee voted to forward the award and supporting documents to finance for contract execution and payment processing.
Staff next steps include submitting the final vendor paperwork and model specifications to finance and confirming delivery and installation schedules.
