Will County finance committee appoints Ortiz chair, approves budget transfers and tax-sale assignments

Member Ortiz was appointed chair and the Will County Finance Committee approved a series of routine financial items during a meeting that also included questions about funds tied to a coroner program supported by Laurie Children’s.

The committee approved the appointment after a motion to appoint Member Ortiz as chair was made and carried on a voice vote. Committee members then approved the minutes, a transfer of appropriations within health-department budgets for capital machinery and equipment, the assignment of tax-sale certificates, and an appropriation into the coroner’s budget.
