The Administration and Public Works Committee called off its January meeting at 5:35 p.m. because there was not a quorum, and the committee's chair said the group would move all agenda items to the committee's next scheduled meeting on Feb. 4 at 5:30 p.m.
"We don't have a quorum," the chair said during the meeting. "We will go ahead and call our meeting this evening, and we will, move these agenda items till next month."
The meeting opened with participants on the phone and online but did not have enough members present for formal action, the chair said. Committee members mentioned weather-related absences and other conflicts; the chair noted some members were out of town and one was temporarily unavailable. Because of the lack of quorum, no motions were made and no votes were taken.
The chair confirmed the committee will reconvene on Feb. 4 at 5:30 p.m.; presenters and guests whose items were on the January agenda were told they could return for that meeting. The chair closed the meeting after the postponement was announced.
No formal decisions, ordinances, resolutions or appointments were made during the session.
