The Fremont County Board approved several routine financial resolutions and designations for 2025, including official depositories, an investments resolution, authorization for release of funds for payroll direct deposit, and designation of the county’s official newspapers.
Commissioners voted to designate the county’s official depository institutions for 2025; the list read into the record included institutions such as Bank of Jackson Hole, Wyoming Community Bank, BMO Bank, Central Bank and Trust, First Interstate Bank, US Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and others across county locations. The board moved to record the designation and the motion passed by voice vote.
The board also approved certified resolution 2025-01 (investment-related) and resolution 2025-02, described in the meeting as the resolution authorizing release of money prior to each county payroll distribution via direct deposit. Commissioners passed both resolutions by voice vote.
Finally, the board designated the Riverton Major and Land Journal as the official county newspapers for Fremont County for 2025 and directed that other county newspapers will be used for other purposes. Commissioners discussed frequency qualifications for official paper designation (weekly versus more frequent publication) but approved the designation by voice vote.
