Board finds unpermitted slab addition at Pagoda Place resolved; no fine imposed
Summary

The Municipal Code Enforcement Board on Jan. 8 recorded that work without a permit occurred at 12406 Pagoda Place (Case No. 24-4576) but found the site in compliance at the hearing after permit fees were paid.
Code Compliance Officer Laurie Smith said the case originated Oct. 4, 2024, when community development reported a rear-yard accessory slab poured without a permit. Smith prepared a notice of violation with an Oct. 21, 2024 compliance date and submitted photographic evidence and a CentralSquare screenshot of a stop-work order. She told the board that the property later obtained the required permit and paid associated fees and that she had submitted an affidavit of compliance.
A board member moved, and a seconded motion was approved, that the city had proven the violation occurred but that no fine should be imposed because the violations were brought into compliance prior to the hearing.
Speakers included Laurie Smith (Code Compliance) and board members. The board entered the findings into the record and closed the matter without penalty.
