Conservation Commission accepts Marilyn D'Agostino as associate member

The Town of Hampden Conservation Commission on Aug. 12 voted to accept Marilyn D'Agostino as an associate member.
D'Agostino told the commission she has lived in town for more than 40 years, has experience completing property work following state requirements and said she would bring research and writing skills to the commission. A motion to accept her as an associate member was made and seconded; the commission voted in favor.
Why it matters: associate members supplement the commission’s capacity for administrative and site-review tasks and often serve on on-site inspections and subcommittees. D'Agostino said she looks forward to learning and assisting with commission work.
The commission also discussed a second prospective associate (Liz, a local resident) who expressed interest but whose formal appointment requires publishing and follow-up at a subsequent meeting. Commissioners said they would discuss Liz’s interest again at the next meeting after required notice.
