The Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission for the Town of Clayton held officer elections and routine administrative business at the Jan. 25 joint meeting.
During the BZA portion, members moved to elect officers for the coming year. A motion was made and seconded to name Eric as BZA chair; members approved the motion by voice vote. The BZA portion of the meeting was then closed.
The meeting then convened as the planning commission. Commissioners approved the December planning commission minutes after a motion, a second and a voice vote.
The planning commission also conducted elections for its officers: Nick was nominated and re-elected chair and Leanne was nominated and re-elected vice chair by voice vote. Commissioners also confirmed several new members: Edith Watson and Terry Fair were appointed to fill recent vacancies and will be added to the commission’s email list and materials; staff will collect contact information.
All procedural votes in the meeting were taken by voice; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
