The Glenarden City Council adopted an amended agenda by voice vote at the start of its Jan. 6 work session. The clerk conducted a voice roll call and councilors recorded "yes" votes; the presiding president announced the amended agenda was adopted.
Near the end of the open session the council moved, seconded and voted to adjourn to a closed session to discuss a personnel matter. The clerk conducted a roll call for the closed session and each councilmember present recorded an affirmative vote; the president announced that the open portion of the meeting was closed at 7:43 p.m.
Both actions were procedural and pertained to meeting management and a personnel matter; no substantive policy decisions were made in open session as a result of the closed‑session motion.
