During the Jan. 6 work session councilmembers reviewed a series of resolutions to appoint residents to the Glenarden election board.
Resolutions discussed included R‑27‑2025 (appointing Ava Gay Turner), R‑28‑2025 (appointing Patricia Dennis), R‑29‑2025 (appointing Gail Cooper) and R‑30‑2025 (appointing Susan Rose). Council members noted clerical errors and asked the clerk to correct resolution titles and names in the packet; one councilmember observed the title for R‑27 incorrectly referenced a different nominee in the version printed in the packet.
Staff confirmed the nominees had agreed to serve. The council said the items would move to the public hearing next week and then to a vote the following week.
No final votes on the appointments were recorded at the work session; staff will correct packet typos and place the nominations on the public hearing agenda.
