Hampton Township Council elects officers, confirms meeting schedule and fills multiple boards

Hampton Township Council on an organizational meeting opened its 2025 calendar by electing Dr. Johnson as council president and Miss Blackburn as vice president, approving a set schedule of regular meetings with exceptions in November and December, confirming committee and organizational appointments, and filling multiple vacancies on township boards and authorities.

The reorganization matters were front-loaded after roll call. Council approved the proposed schedule of regular meetings on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, with exceptions set for Nov. 5 and Nov. 19 and Dec. 3 and Dec. 17. The council also authorized the township manager to advertise a special meeting to be held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, to reconsider a resolution related to the township’s 2025 tax revenue anticipation note.

The meeting confirmed a slate of committee and council organizational appointments largely unchanged from the prior year, with two clerical corrections noted on the agenda (the Economic Advisory Board title and the Youth Sports Advisory Board affiliation).
