Central Valley SD board reviews preliminary 2025–26 budget, personnel changes and routine consent items

Central Valley School District board members met in workshop session to consider a preliminary general fund budget for 2025–26 and a series of routine consent items, including personnel appointments and resignations, audit and contract proposals, and facility and extracurricular approvals.

The board discussed a preliminary general fund budget for the 2025–26 school year that included $46,210,175 in revenues and $47,000,000,489,915 in expenditures as presented on the agenda. The board also received an audit proposal from the firm Cipher and Cipher for auditing services for the years ending June 30, 2025, 2026 and 2027, and reviewed monthly payment and tax reports submitted for approval.

The superintendent opened the meeting by thanking board members during Board Appreciation Month, noting, “The pay is not real great, but you do a great service for the community and for the students and staff at Central Valley, and we appreciate everything you've done.”
