County administrator seeks public input on hazardous-waste program, reports parks revenue and schedules leadership meetings

Kevin said the HHW survey is posted on the county’s social media channels and that flyers with QR codes are available to encourage resident participation. The administrator described the survey as intended to inform future needs, programming and facilities for household hazardous waste collection.
He also thanked parks staff — naming Lisa Connolly, Chris Audette and Mandy Eldridge and Parks Director Dave Rakowitz — for a record level of camping reservations and said the parks department had collected $47,677 for camping reservations as of Jan. 2.
The administrator noted road commission educational sessions for commissioners and township officials (references to “RCKC 101” and “102” were made). Specific session dates were offered for January, and commissioners were asked to notify the administrator if they wished to attend.
Kevin said new headshots for commissioners will be taken for the county website at the next meeting (Jan. 21) and that communications staff will use a professional camera; a group photo option is available. He also said the first regular board leadership meeting for 2025 is scheduled for Jan. 13 at 3 p.m., to be hosted both online and in the administrator’s office; calendar invites will be sent.
