The Bryan City Council approved Ordinance No. 12025 authorizing the mayor to enter into a right-of-first-refusal agreement with Schlacher Investments LLC for a parcel in the South Industrial Park.
City staff described the agreement as a right of first refusal that would give Schlacher Investments the initial opportunity to purchase Lot 29 should the city decide to sell or otherwise market the parcel. The council moved to suspend the rules and then voted to approve the ordinance. The motion passed with all members voting yes.
No changes to the ordinance were reported at the meeting, and staff said the agreement is modeled on a previously approved similar arrangement with another company. The council did not discuss a sale price or any immediate conveyance; the action authorizes the mayor to enter the agreement only.
